I begin with the name of Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. I praise Him and I seek His generosity and forgiveness. I humbly ask Him to raise the rank of Prophet Muhammad and protect his nation fromwhat he feared for them.

NAMES THAT HAVE BEEN ATTRIBUTED TO THE WAHHAABIYYS

Al-Mushabbihah, “the people who make similarities”, is among the deviant factions about which the Prophet (3alayhi-s-Salaam) warned. They are religiously defined as the people who liken; resemble Allaah to His creations. The so-called Salafiyys, “the followers of the Salafiyy Da3wah”, as they call themselves, are a branch of Al-Mushabbihah, as we will prove, if Allaah willed.
Rather than being Salafiyy (followers of the scholars of the first 300 years), they are talafiyy (destructive). Do not call them Salafiyy, call them imposters. Call them “so-called Salafiyys”, or “pseudo (fake) Salafiyys”. Put “Salafiyy” in quotation marks to show that you do not consider them to be Salafiyy. Call them The Wahhaabiyyah, the name given to them by the scholars when they first deviated more than 200 years ago from the land of Najd, following their master, Muhammad Ibn 3Abdil-Wahhaab. If Allaah willed, we will also speak about the true Salaf.
They also call themselves Ahlu-l-Haqq (the People of the Truth) and Ahlu-l-Hadiyth (the People of [the science of] Hadiyth). When calling themselves Ahlu-l-Hadiyth, they truly mean that they (unrightfully) make ijtihaad from the hadiyths- bypassing what the mujtahids said. They have also been called Laa Mathhabiyyah (those who do not claim any school of fiqh), and Ghayru-l-Muqallidiyn (those who do not follow [QUALIFIED] scholarship). Truly, they are Ahlu-l-Kibr (the People of Arrogance), Ahlu-d-Dalaalah (the people of misguidance), Al-Mushabbihah (the people who liken Allaah to His creations), Al-Mujassimah (those who believe that Allaah has a body), Al-Hashwiyyah (people who speak nonsense) . Many people have fallen into their snare. Except for their kufr, they talk and dress like Muslims. However, lend them an ear, and surely they will throw an unfortunate person into the black flames of Jahannam. This does not include those who are unaware of the bad belief of the Wahhaabiyys, but may affiliate themselves with the so-called Salafiyys. The Wahhaabiyys are as The Prophet (3alayhi-s-Salaam) said:
أناسٌ من جلدتنا يتكلمون بِألسنتنا تسمع منهم و تنكر دعاة على أبواب جهنم مَن استمع إليهم قذفوه فيها
“There are people who look like us and talk with our talk. You would hear their message and reject. They are preachers at the gates of Hell. Whoever listens to them, they will throw him in it,” (Al-Bukhaariyy).

Shaykh ^Abdullah Al-Harariyy's Commands (وصية)

Shaykh ^Abdullah, may Allah have mercy on him, said:

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم الحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله

This is what ^Abdullah, the son of Muhammad, the son of Yusuf al-Harariyy commands himself, his family, his beloved ones, and his students: The Testification that no one is God except Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.

I command that you acquire the religious knowledge. It is the indicator to everlasting happiness and to success in this world and in the Hereafter.

I command that you hold to and implement the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Prophet , to adhere to the methodology of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jama^ah, to work to spread this methodology and teach it to people, and to bid the lawful and forbid the unlawful.

I command that you love one another for the sake of Allah, and advise one another for the sake of Allah. Be supportive of one another. Do not be disunited, reciprocating aversion and hatred for one another. Apply the hadith of the Prophet : “One is not a perfect believer until one loves for one's fellow what one loves for oneself of good matters.” I warn you against discord and preferring money over the Hereafter, because the enemies of the Religion are plotting and working diligently to destroy it. Thus, be like those mentioned in the hadith of the Prophet : “The believer to the believer is like a solid structure, one part of which strengthens the other.”

I also command that you support your fellows in the Association. Be of assistance to them and not against them. Come together and do not disunite, lest your power is lost.

Any one who weakens this Association or alienate people from it cast him off. Know that this person is injuring the Religion.

I ask Allah for me and you to have the good practice and ending.

Praise be to Allah and Salah and Salam on the Prophet and his honorable and blessed Companions.

^Abdullah, the son of Muhammad al-Harariyy

Ibn Taymiyah's Deviations from the Muslims(ابن تيمية خالف المسلمين السلف والخلف)

Know that, although Ibn Taymiyah had many writings and a fame, he is as the Muhaddith, Hafiz, Faqih, Waliyy-ud-Din al-^Iraqiyy, the son of the Shaykh of Huffaz, Zayn-ud-Din al-^Iraqiyy, in his book "al-'Ajwibat-ul-Mardiyyah" said about him: His knowledge is bigger than his mind. He also said: He infringed the Ijma^ in many issues, which was said to be sixty issues, some of which are in the Usul and others in the Furu^ [Al-'Usul is ^Ilm-ut-Tawhid, the Science of the belief in Allah and His Messenger. Al-Furu^ deals with the Islamic matters other than those of belief (Usul), such as Salah, Siyam, and dealings.] After the Ijma^ has settled upon those issues, he violated it. Some lay people and others followed him in this violation. The scholars of his time hastened to refute him and charged him of bringing bid^ah [Bid^ah is innovation; something which is new some of which are Islamically acceptable and others are rejected. Here it refers to the prohibited innovation.] Among those was Imam, Hafiz, Taqiyy-ud-Din ^Aliyy Ibn ^Abd-il-Kafi as-Subkiyy. In "ad-Durrat-ul-Mudiyyah", he said what means: Ibn Taymiyah innovated the foul things in the Usul of belief and infringed the foundations of al-'Islam, after he was covering himself with following the Book (the Qur'an) and Sunnah, showing outwardly that he is a caller to truth and a guide to the Jannah. Consequently, he deviated from following the Book and Sunnah to innovation, and deviated from the Jama^ah of the Muslims [The Jama^ah is the Muslim group following the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, and his Sahabah. The full name is Ahl-us-Sunnah wal-Jama^ah. It constitutes the majority of the Muslims.] by infringing the Ijma^. He said what leads to the jismiyyah and composition in the Holy Self of Allah and that it is not impossible that Allah needs a part. He said that the Self of Allah contains hawadith (events, creations), that the Qur'an is muhdath (created) and Allah spoke it after it was not, that Allah speaks and stops speaking, and that wills happen in Him according to the creations. He transgressed to say that the world did not have a beginning. He adhered to his saying that there is no beginning for the creations, thereby saying of the existence of hawadith [Al-Hawadith, the plural of al-hadith, is a creation, i.e., something the existence of which started at some point in time and it may be annihilated any time later. Al-Jannah (Paradise) and Jahannam (Hellfire), two creations of Allah, will never be annihilated because Allah has willed that for them.] without a beginning. Hence, he confirmed that the eternal attribute (of Allah) is created and the created hadith is eternal. No one has ever said both sayings in any religion. He was not among the seventy-three groups into which the Ummah was divided. In spite of all of this being horrible kufr (blasphemy), it is little compared to what he innovated in the Furu^.
Hafiz Abu Sa^id al-^Ala'iyy, the Shaykh of Hafiz al-^Iraqiyy, mentioned many of these issues. This was reported by Muhaddith, Hafiz, and historian Shams-ud-Din Ibn Tulun in "Thakha'ir-ul-Qasr". Among what was reported about Ibn Taymiyah, is his saying that Allah is the site of creations, that the world is eternal by kind and it always has been created with Allah, and some of which his saying of the jismiyyah, direction, and movement (of Allah). Ibn Taymiyah wrote a juz' (section) that Allah's knowledge does not pertain to what does not end, like the enjoyment of the people of Jannah, and that Allah does not know everything about the finite, that our prophet Muhammad, ^alayh-is-salam, has no jah (status) and whoever performs tawassul by him is wrong. He wrote many papers about that. He said exaggeratedly that starting a trip to visit our prophet is a sin which invalidates shortening the Salah in it. Before Ibn Taymiyah, no Muslim had said what he said. He said that the torture of the people of Hell stops and does not last forever. He was ordered to repent many times, but he broke his promises and agreements every time until he was imprisoned as per the fatwa of the Four Judges [The full text of this fatwa will be mentioned, by the will of Allah.]one of whom was a Shafi^iyy, the second Malikiyy, the third Hanafiyy, and the fourth Hanbaliyy [A mathhab is a framework inferred by a mujtahid from the Qur'an, Sunnah, Ijma^, and Qiyas, by which he deduces the judgements on the practical matters of al-'Islam such as the Taharah, Salah, Zakah, Siyam, and Hajj. The Sunniyy mathahib which are available today are four: The Hanafiyy Mathhab, the Malikiyy Mathhab, the Shafi^iyy Mathhab, and the Hanbaliyy Mathhab. The respective founders of those mathahib are: Imam Abu Hanifah (80-150 A.H.), Imam Malik (93-179 A.H.), Imam ash-Shafi^iyy (150-204 A.H.), and Imam Ibn Hanbal (164-241 A.H.)] They passed the ruling that he was a straying man, against whom it is obligatory to warn, as was said in "^Uyun-ut-Tarikh" by Salah-ud-Din as-Safadiyy, who was a student of Ibn Taymiyah and of Taqiyy as-Subkiyy. King Muhammad Ibn Qalawun issued a decree to be read on the manabir [Manabir is the plural of minbar which is a podium, an elevated platform for a speaker or the like.] in Egypt and ash-Sham (area including Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Palestine) to warn people against him and his followers.
Ath-Thahabiyy, a contemporary of Ibn Taymiyah, had praised him first. However, when his case was exposed to him, he said in his treatise, "Bayanu Zaghal-il-^Ilm wat-Talab", page 17: By Allah, my eye has not fallen on a person who was more knowledgeable or more intelligent than a man called Ibn Taymiyah. He showed zuhd (disinterest) in food, clothing, and women. He supported the truth and performed Jihad (fighting non-Muslims for the sake of Allah) with every possible means. I got tired in weighing and digging him out. I got bored with that for long years. I found that as a result of his arrogance, self deceipt, excessive love to be the head of the scholars, and disdain with great people, he was falling behind the people of Egypt and ash-Sham; they hated him, degraded him, and charged him with lying and kufr. Look at the consequence of claim and love of appearance. We ask Allah for forgiveness. There are some people who are not more pious, knowledgeable, or zahid (careless about mundane matters) than he is. However, they overlook the sins of their friends. Allah did not empower those people over Ibn Taymiyah by their piety and greatness, but by his sins. What Allah warded off him and his followers is more; they only got some of what they deserve. Have no doubt about it. This treatise is confirmed about ath-Thahabiyy, because Hafiz as-Sakhawiyy reported this statement about him in his book "al-'I^lam bit-Tawbikh" on page 77.

The death of the great scholar Shaykh Abdullah Al-Harariyy

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful One
Brothers and Sisters

Allah said:

من المؤمنين رجال صدقوا ما عاهدوا الله عليه فمنهم من قضى نحبه ومنهم من ينتظر وما بدلوا تبديلا" Al-Ahzab 23.

It means: [There are among the believers men who were true to their covenant with Allah. Of them are men who died and others are waiting without changing their commitment to obeying Allah.]

We sadly announces the death of the great scholar of hadith and fiqh, the example of piety, humbleness and austerity, Shaykh Abdullah Ibn Muhammad Al-Harariyy, known as Al-Habashiyy. He departed this life in the dawn of Tuesday the 2nd of Ramadan 1429 H - September 2, 2008.

The departure of the righteous scholar Shaykh Abdullah Al-Harariyy is a great loss to the Muslims at large, to the scholars of Islam, the associations and organization who know the merits of knowledge and scholars, and the need for such a scholar at this hard time.

May Allah shower His Mercy upon you O our beloved guide. You are the one who personified piety, humbleness and austerity. You are the one who always advised us to hold on tightly to the straight Path defending it no matter how the waves of difficulties moved.

You are the one who taught people the Tawhid (distinguishing the Creator from the creation), the correct creed and the lawful and unlawful rulings of the Religion. You taught them how to invite people to the Religion of Allah with wisdom and good words. You showed us the way to truth and moderation.

May Allah shower His Mercy upon you the educator of generations. You are the one who taught us how to serve our own countries and seek their welfare.

You have been indeed the Shafi^iyy, Ash^ariyy, and Rifa^iyy of this century. We say this on behalf of all those who were edified under you and on behalf the objective people who tested men and found in you the example of the practicing scholars, piety of the forerunners, and austerity of the righteous.

May Allah shower His mercy on you O our Imam, Shaykh and Guide.

May Allah grant you His vast Paradise along with the prophets, upright, and martyrs.

To the students and lovers of Shaykh Abdullah Al-Harariyy all over Earth, We ask Allah to grant you patience and to guide you to the good deeds. We ask Allah to facilitate for you to benefit from the legacy of Shaykh Abdullah: books and advices. These are a wealth of knowledge and ethics.
We ask Allah to raise the rank of our dear shaykh and to give the vast Pardise as the everlasting abode of bliss.

To Allah we belong and to Him we return.

Sheikh Abdullah Al-Habashi, Al-Ashaari Al-Rifai
(or Al-Habachi or AlHabashi and AlHabachi)
Shaykh Abdullah al-Harariyy, whose lineage is from the same honorable Arab tribe as the Prophet, the tribe of Quraysh. With diligence and great devotion, peacefully and in sincerity, Shaykh Abdullah spreads the correct knowledge from Prophet Muhammad, the Prophet’s companions, and the generations of Muslims after them.

Shaykh Abdullah started acquiring the Religious knowledge at a very young age. He memorized the Qur’an by heart and with tartil (reading correctly with tajwid rules) when he was only seven years old. He is a renowned Scholar of Tawhid, Fiqh, and the Hadith. He learned and mastered many fields of knowledge. These include: the Shafiiyy Fiqh (Rules of the Religion according to the school of Imam ash-Shafiiyy), its Usul (the Science of Inferring Rules and Judgments), Nahw (Arabic and Grammar), the Sciences of the Arabic language, Tafsir (Science of Explanation of the Qur’an), Tajwid (the proper recitation of the Qur’an), including the fourteen Qira’at (ways of reciting Qur’an), among others. He is a Scholar of Hadith (Muhaddith) and of its sciences. He is also an authority in the Fiqh and Usul of the other three madhhabs: Malikiyy, Hanbaliyy, and Hanafiyy.

Shaykh Abdullah narrates the hadith with continuous chains of narration linked all the way to Prophet Muhammad, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
Shaykh Abdullah’s primary goal was to spread the truth of Islam, by teaching the correct belief of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamaah, and he worked with tenacious determination to reach his goal. His students have spread through more than forty (40) countries, across six (6) continents. He continues to support the Muslims in acquiring the knowledge and in fighting the deviant factions who attempt to spread misguidance in the name of Islam.

THE WAHHABIYY ATTEMPT TO DISCREDIT THE NATION AT LARGE

A Wahhaabiyy may put up a defense in this area. Proving that the nation as a whole will always be guided necessitates that any small group who disagrees with the majority of the nation is misguided. Therefore, for a Wahhaabiyy it is imperative to discredit this notion, since they do not deny that they are a small out-numbered group. To do that, he may mention the poor situation of Muslims today, their lack of knowledge and being overwhelmed with sins. This is why we say that their belief will always be correct. They would not agree upon a misguided creed. However, the Prophet foretold about his nation becoming weak and sinful. There are several narrations about this, among them:
من أحيَى سنتي عند فساد أمتي فله أجر شهيد
“Whoever revives my Sunnah upon the corruption of my nation has the reward of a martyr.” This corruption in the nation does not mean that the majority will take a blasphemous creed. A Wahhaabiyy may also produce the verse:
و قليل من عبادي الشكور
<>. We tell them that this is in reference to piety- that few slaves of Allaah refrain from using their endowments sinfully, which is ungratefulness to Allaah. There are other narrations about this issue, so know that they may produce several references. The hadiyths already mentioned are enough to prove them wrong.
The Wahhaabiyys took the name of Ahlu-s-Sunnah for themselves, but if they are a minority, only a couple million strong, how can they still claim the name? It is easy if one merely distorts the meaning of “jamaa3ah”. To fool others, and to consider the millions upon millions upon millions of Muslims as misguided, they say, “the Jamaa3ah can be one person.” This statement is only true when a person is truly following Ahlu-s-Sunnah, which is the majority, but he is secluded and surrounded by misguided people. The case of the Wahhaabiyys does not apply. We seek the Protection of Allaah from such sly deviance.

THE CORRECT PATH OF AHLU-S-SUNNAH AND THE OBLIGATION OF FOLLOWING THEM

Know that the Messenger of Allaah (3alayhi-s-Salaam) warned about 72 sects that would deviate from the correct path of the Muslims. That path is the way of Ahlu-s-Sunnah wa-l-Jamaa3ah, Ahlu-s-Sunnah for short. They are referred to in a hadiyth:
فليلزم الجماعة فمن أراد بحبوحة الجنة
“Whoever wishes for the luxuries of Paradise, then let him stick to the Jamaa3ah,” (At-Tirmithiyy). The Prophet (3alayhi-s-Salaam) taught his Companions that 72 out of 73 different sects would deserve Hellfire, and one would deserve Paradise. His Companions asked him about that single group, and he (3alayhi-s-Salaam) told them, “The Jamaa3ah.”
Ahlu-s-Sunnah, the People of the Prophet’s Method, is the group with the largest following. In one hadiyth, the Prophet (3alayhi-s-Salaam) said,
فإذا رأيتم اختلافا فعليكم بالسواد الأعظم
"If you see (unacceptable) differences among you, then adhere to As-Sawaadu-l-A3dham (the vast majority)” (Ibn Maajah). These different narrations of hadiyth comply with each other. There is no contradiction between that single guided group being the Jamaa3ah and being As-Sawaadu-l-A3dham. “Jamaa3ah” means “group”, and must be explained to comply with the other hadiyths, so in this context it means the majority.
In another narration, the Prophet (3alayhi-s-Salaam) named that group:
ما أنا عليه و أصحابي
“(The group which is upon) what my Companions and I are upon.” There is still no conflict in the different descriptions of Ahlu-s-Sunnah. Historically, the majority of Muslims have always had the same belief since the time of the Companions, who never disagreed about the belief between themselves. Never has the majority disagreed about the correct belief, and we challenge anyone to bring the evidence that such a thing ever occurred. Until today, 75% to 80% of the nation has the same belief, and from that we can know that the so-called Salafiyys are deviant people, since they consider most of the Muslims throughout the world as mushrikuwn and bad innovators.

WHAT DOES ASSALAF BELIEF IN ALLAAH

Know that Allaah exists differently from anything else. He alone is without a beginning, because no one created Him. He is the only Creator. He exists everlastingly and does not change. He is perfect. Before creating the creations, He existed without them. He existed before the skies or the 3Arsh existed, and He now exists as He eternally existed, without those creations affecting or changing Him. He is alive without a body or soul, and without needing sustenance. He is knowledgeable without a teacher and does not learn or forget. He possesses the perfect knowledge of everything, and the creations exist only as He knew they would. He has power to bring things from non-existence into existence. He creates without tools and without getting weak or sleepy. He has the eternal and everlasting Will, by which He specified His creations with particular places, directions, shapes, colors, times, changes, movements, stability, hardships, ease, choice, free will, and everything else He eternally willed for His creations. His management is unhindered and uninterrupted. He cannot be distracted because He does not have limbs. He has no partner, wife, parent, son, branch, origin, nor opposite. He does not need anything, not a space to occupy, nor time to bind Him. He is not benefited nor harmed by His creatures. He sees without eyes and hears without ears eternally, without looking into a direction, without needing volume or sound waves, light, time, or space. Nothing is hidden from Him. He speaks with His eternal Kalaam (speech), without it being of a word, letter, sound, nor language. It is not the result of organs touching or air moving, and it does not come from any direction. Allaah does not resemble anything in the universe. He is not composed of atoms, nor does He have their characteristics, such as color, shape, place, motion, stillness, texture, temperature, etc. He is neither inside nor outside, since those are places for bodies. He is not in a particular place, nor is He everywhere. He exists without being in any place. He does not have the attributes of the creations. The creations are not parts or attributes of Allaah. All of His attributes are eternal and everlasting. Since His Self is Eternal, His attributes cannot be created. He is different from whatever is imagined. Let there be no doubt that this is the correct belief in Him, the mighty Lord with the perfect names.

WHO ARE THE REAL SALAF?

The Salaf (predecessors, forerunners, pioneers) is the first three generations of Muslims, as narrated by At-Tirmithiyy:
خير الناس قرني ثم الذين يلونهم ثم الذين يلونهم
“The best of the people are from my century, then those who come after them, then those who come after them.” They are the Muslims of the first three hundred years. In general, the Muslims of the Salaf are better than those who come after them. We say “in general”, because it is possible to find someone from the khalaf (era after the Salaf) who is better than an individual from the Salaf. It was the time of the four pious, rightly guided caliphs: Abuw Bakr, 3Umar, 3Uthmaan, 3Aliyy. Add to that list Al-Hasan and 3Umar Ibn 3Abdi-l-3Aziyz (may Allaah be pleased with all of them). The schools of fiqh were established, and four remain since then- the followers of the great Salafiyy mujtahids, Abuw Haniyfah, Maalik, Ash-Shaafi3iyy, and Ahmad Ibn Hanbal. The books of hadiyth were compiled during this time. It was the time of the greatest scholars of hadiyth, namely Al-Bukhaariyy, Muslim, At-Tirmithiyy, Abuw Daawuwd, An-Nasaa’iyy and Ibn Maajah. Also during this time, the great scholars of 3aqiydah emerged, Abu-l-Hasan Al-Ash3ariyy and Abuw Mansuwr Al-Maaturiydiyy. The Muslims were regarded as the people of knowledge and piety. Because of the work that the great scholars of the Salaf did, the Muslims after them had a facilitated ease in terms of learning Islaam
